About Mrs. Wakefield

Hello students of 5Q! I am so looking forward to meeting you on September 21st! It has been an interesting few days knowing you are in school and beginning the year, while I am still at home with my new baby. Bryson John was born a month early (as many of you may remember from last school year) so he has just reached his three month mark. He is doing very well sleeping, eating and pooping (as my 4.5 year old Braden would tell you!) My boys absolutely are the most important part of my days and I look forward to waking each morning with new adventures to come in the day. Braden has quite the wonderful imagination, so it is always fun to see what he is going to invent next or a game he would like to play. Braden and I also enjoy reading, baking and snuggling together!

We enjoy the outdoors in the summer time: hiking, camping, golfing and boating are our main ways to enjoy the sunshine. I am a big fan of sunshine, coming from Florida where we have abundant sunshine, the winter here gets tough for me when it is cloudy and gray for too long. I don't ski or snowboard, but I do enjoy snowshoeing and playing in the white powder as long as it isn't TOO cold! I'm still searching for the perfect gloves to keep my hands dry and warm!

My husband, Ryan, was a PE teacher at Russell and now works for Iron Horse Golf Club planning activities for kids and families to enjoy Montana. He is a basketball coach at Glacier High School as well, so we cheer for the Wolfpack in our house. He also attended University of Montana making us Griz fans. I also cheer for my college back home, Florida State University. I love the fall because it is football time. I can't wait to see some of you play football this year. Braden is also playing little guy football through the Parks and Rec program!

We have two yellow labs (Tanner in the picture with me) and Chloe. They are both very hyper and lovable. Tanner thinks he is a lap dog and loves to eat. Chloe would play with the ball forever if you'd let her. We also have a turtle named Myrtle and some fish.

I also enjoy reading, cooking, spending time with friends and family, watching movies and playing games.

I look forward to getting to know all of you this year and watching you learn and grow. Time goes quickly and it is best to enjoy all that we have everyday. So make the most out of your time and do the best you can in everything you do! See you soon.
